Traditionally held in July, organizers moved the event to October 1-2, hoping for a more temperate walk and to allow more photographers the opportunity to participate.
On those days, photographers of all skill levels and backgrounds will take to their communities' streets around the world to document their cities and towns. According to the Worldwide Photo Walk website, "It’s a social photography event where photographers get together (usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town) to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers."
