MINDSET

Tumeona katika post iliyopita tafsiri mbalimbali za neno hili MINDSET, kwa tafsiri ya kibantu isiyo rasmi naweza kusema ni "Mitazamo ama tabia za watu katika kufikili ama kukabiliana na jambo fulani", hii ni tafsiri yangu. 


Mwandishi wa vitabu Carol Dweck amejaribu kuelezea katika kitabu chake cha Mindset sababu mbalimbali za kwanini- 
  • Akili na Kipawa amam kipaji pekee haviwezi kumletea mtu mafanikio, 
  • au ni jinsi vinaweza kusababisha mtu kutokufanikiwa, 
  • na je ni kwanini kupongeza hivyo tu hakuleti utashi wa ndani ama mafanikio bali kuyahatarisha tu, 
  • na je ni jinsi gani kwa kumfundisha mtu ama kuifunza akili wazo dogo tu kwaweza kupandisha kiwango cha ufanisi wa akili na kuleta uzalishaji zaidi. 
  •  
Watu wengi wanafungwa kusonga mbele kimaisha, mafanikio ama masomo kutokana na mitazamo yao, ni mitazamo ambayo yaweza kubadilishwa na mtu kupiga hatua fulani lakini kutokana na ama mapokeo ama mazoea inakuwa vigumu mmno kwa mtu kubadili mtazamo wake kuhusu jambo hili ama lile.Hii inaitwa Fixed Mindset. Mwandshi Dweck anatanabaisha kuwa kuna  mawazo mgando fixed mindset na mawazo endelevu ama Growth Mindset, "In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success—without effort. They’re wrong."

Mfano wa picha hapo juu ni sawa na watu wenye Fikra ama mawazo mgando, Tembo hawa wa India wakiwa wadogo ufungwa na mnyororo huo na kigingi hicho, kwa sababu wanakuwa wadogo wanakuwa hawawezi kujinasua katika kigingi hicho, watajaribu mara kadhaa wakishindwa wanaacha, wanakata tamaa, wanaamini kuwa hawawezi, kwa wakati huo kwao kinakuwa ni kikubwa na hakiwezekani. 

Kuna msemo kuwa "Tembo uwa hasahau" hivyo ata anakupokuwa mkubwa kama nyumba anafungwa katika kigingi kile kile na kwa sababu hasau, Tembo huyo hatofanya juhudi yoyote kujinasua hapo japo hakika anaweza akiamua kwa sababu angali anakumbuka kwamba alipokuwa mdogo kilimshinda, hivyo tembo huyu atatulia hapo hapo muda wote mpaka mtu aje amfungue.
