.................................According to Haki Elimu, the Sh 2.5 billion that has been to spent to construct only two residential houses could settle the school fees for 31,250 orphaned students studying in the newly introduced community secondary schools for four years, or built 300 houses for teachers toiling in the rural areas.
The amount could also build 2,500 water tanks for community secondary schools located in rural areas where students spend much time searching for water instead of attending classes, or build 2000 toilets for community secondary schools, especially those located in the rural areas where students attend the call of nature in the bush.
HakiElimu further says that the money could also foot the bill for training 2,500 students in teachers colleges or administering refresher courses for 6,250 in-service teachers.
