THE Dar es Salaam City Council is to take over operations of the National Parking System after expiry of the contract of the current operator, in a move aimed at studying the trend of the business, the City Director, Mr Bakari Kingobi, said.
The announcement comes shortly after the City fathers took over operations of Ubungo Bus Terminal (UBT), following the expiry of the Smart Holding Company's contract.
Owners of the Smart Holding Company are linked with the National Parking System.
Owners of the two companies are also connected to another company which is alleged to have won the tender to run Machinga Complex in the city.
