SUPU YA MAWE RUKSA KENYA

Changaa drinking has now been legalized, but with a catch. The law will come into effect in 90 days.

This comes after President Kibaki assented to the alcoholic drinks control bill, 2009 effectively legalizing chang'aa and streamlining the licensing, manufacture and consumption of alcoholic drinks.

And as Chris Wangombe reports, Naivasha MP John Mututho who introduced the private members bill said this is a milestone, adding that the bills intention was to roll back the negative effects of illegal alcohol consumption, which has seen several hundreds of people die.

RIGHT TO BE RICH

RIGHT TO BE RICH
The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way, and those who do things in this certain way — whether on purpose or accidentally — get rich, while those who do not do things in this certain way — no matter how hard they work or how able they are — remain poor.
