The Ministry of Information and the police force have dismissed as rumors text messages cautioning mobile phone owners from picking calls from specific numbers in red color, which are claimed, could cause brain haemorrage and death.

Information and Communications Minister Samuel Poghisio has further cautioned those forwarding the text messages saying that he will publish their names for prosecution.

The numbers are said to originate from the Internet to specific people's phones who spread the rumor to the public causing panic
